Are you looking for an exclusive wildlife experience? This eight day safari is for you. Accommodation base in mid range place. The tour start in Dar es Salaam to mikumi, Ruaha and Nyerere National Parks. Experience the beautiful scenery and wildlife of southern Tanzania.

You will meet your guide at the agreed meeting point, and drive to Mikumi National Park which is approximately 5 hours’ drive. In the morning or shortly after noon we drive from Dar to our first camp on the edge of Mikumi NP. We dine and stay overnight in the camp.

After breakfast we shall start doing gamedrive in Mikumi National Park. Supplied with our picnic lunches, we spend a full day on safari in this vast, untouched wilderness area. We shall overnight and dine in the same camp.

We leave Mikumi park to have to do a connecting ride all morning. In the evening we settle in our next hotel. This in Ruaha, a stronghold for populations of high concentrations of lions and endangered wild dogs. You can enjoy on a hill, watching birds or animals in the deeper savannas.

Today 4×4 game drives in Ruaha with a landscape of baobabs, black hardwood trees and grassy plains, looking for the abundance of wildlife and birds that can be found here. The great Ruaha River flows through the eastern side of the park and is home of hippos, crocodiles and water birds.

Today one last time in diverse Ruaha for another half day safari. We leave the park to do a connecting ride for the rest of the day. Later in the afternoon we settle into our next hotel in Morogoro to have dinner and rest from our 1st safari impressions.

Today 4×4 game drives towards Nyerere (formerly Selous). After checking in, we do another evening game drive at sunset. Optionally, a boat trip can be made here in the evening for a small extra price. Crocodiles glide into the water as your boat approaches and hippo appear in frightening proximity,
Grunting and blowing steam.

After breakfast we head out into this more remote and Africa’s largest unspoilt wilderness area, Nyerere National Park. Maybe literally because today you also can do a game walk. (smal extra price) Former Selous is another good example to show that we encounter far fewer people in the South than in most other famous Northern reserves. In addition to its impressive predator populations, this national park is also a sanctuary for more than 10,000 elephants.

Today one last breakfast in the bush, before driving back to Dar es Salaam (300km). You now have the option to add a beach holiday to Zanzibar to the safari for a small additional fee. Contact us for more information about this well-priced optional beach getaway.
